Congratulations to boys and girls soccer! Both teams beat Atrisco and are now in first place in the District. Way to go soccer!

Another big shout out to all of you who helped with Homecoming last week including:  ROTC,  the West Mesa Band, and the Fillies for their involvement at coronation  and the game, cheer for decorating the stadium, Mr. McLeod, Coach Serrano, and Ms. Chavez for being at the dance, and all of you for allowing Senators to help with the extensive set-up and decorations. It truly is a community event and I thank you for your support.

Staff & Students! This week is ALLY WEEK!  Please wear Tie-Dye OR Black, tomorrow, to show your support for our LGBTQ students.  Thank you!

This week is banned books week. Every day we'll have banned book trivia, where you can win a prize. You can EITHER take a picture with your phone to answer OR go tell your answer to Ms. Davy at lunch to claim your prize. First come, first served! There’s a different Banned Books Trivia Question for each day, and each answer requires you to take a photo. At the end of the week, go show all 5 photos to Ms. Davy in room E204 to claim your prize. Here’s the question for today: Which of the following Doctor Seuss books was banned because it offended forestry workers? Take a picture next to the object key to the book and then see Ms. Davy.

Say cheese, Mustangs! School portraits are scheduled for today and tomorrow in the lobby of the Pac. Pictures are being taken through your English class. See your English teacher for the details and bring your portrait orders on the day you have your portrait taken. WMHS faculty and staff are highly encouraged to make their way to the PAC during their lunch or prep period and are allowed to advance to the front of the line to expedite the process.

The follow students are awarded a gift card for signing the Homecoming Drug/Alcohol free pledge: Natalia Ortega, Ashley Enriquez, and Linda Rodriguez. Please come to the Crossroads counselor office in the Library for your gift card.
