Nursing

We want to ensure every student is safe and healthy while at school. To help us provide the best care, please inform the school health office each year of any health conditions, medications, or concerns we should be aware of. We also ask that you keep your emergency contact information up to date. We appreciate your partnership in keeping our school community healthy!

Medications at School

If your student needs to take medication or receive a procedure during school hours, a completed form signed by a physician is required each school year. Find the necessary forms in the link menu below.

Self-Carrying Medications

With a physician's approval, students may be allowed to self-carry and self-administer certain medications. A form is still required for all self-carried medications. Please be aware that students are not permitted to self-carry controlled substances, including most ADHD medications.

Important Medication Guidelines

  • Prescription medications must include the original pharmacy label.

  • Over-the-counter medications must be in a new, unopened bottle.

  • The health office cannot accept expired medications.

End-of-Year Medication Pickup

Parents must pick up all non-emergency medications from the health office by the last day of school. Reminders will be sent home in mid-May. Medications left in the health office will be discarded.
