Navy Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC) is a citizenship program, established in law. "The NJROTC mission is to instill in students in United States secondary educational institutions the values of citizenship, service to the United States, personal responsibility, and a sense of accomplishment."
Our program follows a military model of leadership, and focuses on learning about all things Navy & Marine, service to community and others, science, technology, engineering and mathematics. We also cover a lot of seamanship & nautical skills, and teach cadets to sail each summer! We also have a very active drone flying program, advanced digital design & production instruction, robotics and rocketry.
Our program is also very active in state and regional military skills competitions (precision drill & ceremonies, physical fitness & Olympic Air Rifle) as well as academic competitions. We have won two state championships in drill in the past 4 years and last year we placed 3rd place nationally and 3rd place in the state in precision air rifle. Our STEAM program is unmatched nationally!
