2020-2021 Beginning of School Year Information

Dear West Mesa High School Parents and Students,

We are looking forward to a great school year, in which West Mesa students experience success in learning, achievement, and college and career preparation!

Registration for all students enrolled at West Mesa High School will be in-person on August 5th & 6th. Online registration is currently open. Freshman Jumpstart will take place on August 6th. CLICK HERE for the registration schedule. 

Please complete all steps below to register for the 2021/22 school year.

STEP 1 ONLINE REGISTRATION

Returning Students: Complete the 2021/22 Online School Registration

New Students and Transfer Students: please start the process here

STEP 2 Read and Sign the Title 1 Compact. 

The Title 1 Compact is available to read HERE. All families will need to sign and return. Copies will be available during registration.

STEP 3 SCHEDULES

Students will be able view their schedules on Aug 10th via their StudentVue account. Student who attend in-person registration will receive a hard copy of their schedule. 

STEP 4 Nursing Services

All new students to West Mesa will need to provide a copy of current shot records to our school nurse. 

STEP 5 STUDENT IDS

During registration, students will receive a non-photo ID. All IDs will be distributed once students are physically on campus.

STEP 7 (FOR STUDENT DRIVERS) PARKING PERMITS

All vehicles parked on school grounds must be registered with the school (no exceptions) and the WMHS parking permit must be placed on the front windshield (lower left) of the vehicle. Cost for the initial parking permit is $20. Please pay the fees online at SchoolPay. Permits can also be purchased

 

STEP 8 Text Books

Text books will be picked up from the Bookroom. Students will need their schedule and school ID. 

 

STEP 9 Fees & Fines

Fees will not be collected during in-person registration. However, families are still responsible for any outstanding fees listed in ParentVUE. These fees will be collected over the course of the school year.  All questions should be directed to Sheyla Lofties 505-831-6993 (x57034)

What you will need

Students new to APS will need all documentation (1-6).  Students transferring within APS need documents 1-4. 

1. Student's name, date of birth and address

2. Primary and emergency contact information

3. Two (2) Forms of Address (PNM, NM Gas, Lease Agreement, etc.) 

4. Student's shot records

5. Parent/Guardian Photo ID

6. Withdrawal Forms

7. Transcripts
